The CDFA Incubator grant is a multi-year project that provides technical assistance and nutrition education training to the students at the Child Development Labs at both Chico State University and Butte Community College. This grant also provides farm to school initiatives like Harvest of the Month where a different fruit or veggie is highlighted each month and a tasting is provided. Resources such as food, recipes, etc. are provided to the families to strengthen learning outcomes.

The ECMC Foundation grant provided funds to establish Center for Healthy Communities internship program into a paid internship program (previously unpaid). The program also provided well rounded work experience that aligns with the students' career path.

Role

Lead budget & budget justification development, organization info and associated documents, interpretation and ensure adherence to the RFP/RFA, established research and outcome plan including measures of success, and ensured timely submission with all requirements included.
